Hi, you’re quite correct that the names of the modes are positioned in reverse order to a usual circle of fifths. But the idea is that this way will be showing you the MAJOR scale that you could play in order to achieve a particular mode, rather than learning a NEW scale pattern for each mode. It should be clear in the instructions underneath the circle, but if not, let me know!

The names are backwards. It’s saying the myxolydian is if F and the lydian is G the rest of the names are backwards as well.. The major minor and diminished names are all right tho. Not a bad idea, i usually explain it if a few different ways.. like each scale is has one characteristic note excluding locrian D E and A are based off the minor scale D has a #6 / E has a b2 / A is natural minor. C F and G are major F has #4 / G has b7 / C is major, and B is minor with b2 b5. Or just know whole step half step patterns and offset them by one each time.
